ABOUT THIS COURSE

If you’re looking to get a job in retail - whether you’re brand new, or looking to return to the sector, we can help. Our Retail: Steps to Employment workshops have been designed to give you the skills and support you need to find a job. With three focused sessions to choose from, you have the flexibility to select the sessions that best suit your needs – whether it’s one, two, or all three!

Each workshop is based at our West London Retail Skills Hub in Westfield London, and are run one-to-one and in small groups, depending on your preference.

Our ‘Find the Perfect Job’ workshop is designed to help you navigate online job websites, covering how to register an account, apply for vacancies, and make an impact with your application.

Steps to… Build Your CV

It takes less than 30 seconds of reading a CV for an employer to decide if they want to meet you. Having the right CV can help you stand out!

Our ‘Build Your CV’ workshop is designed to help you write your own attention-grabbing CV. You will review your current CV, or build a new one from scratch, learning about what employers are looking for.

We have access to hundreds of employers in the region – so you can be sure the advice and guidance we give you is current, relevant and more likely to help you get the job you’re looking for.

Steps to… Talk the Talk

So your CV has helped you secure an interview! Congratulations! Being nervous about this next step is normal, but there are tips and techniques that can help you highlight your qualities and get the job offer you’re after.

Our ‘Talk the Talk’ workshop will teach you how to ask and answer convincing interview questions and control your interview nerves. We cover a variety of interview styles (including one-to-one and group scenarios), so you can feel as prepared as possible.
